PSU - Cooler Master Silent Pro M2 - 1000W Power Supply
GPU - Currently: 7950, want to update to R9 295x2
CPU - Fx 8350
Mobo - Asus M5A97 2.0
Ram - 16GB
250gb SSD
1 TB HD

I'm wanting to upgrade to the 295x2 but im seeing conflicting answers on whether a 1000w psu will be enough or not. I was running on a 500 watt PSU for a long time, then I switched to a 4k monitor and my GPU going into overdrive killed it. I upgraded to the 1000w PSU because I was never planning on a dual gpu, and no single card aside from the 295x2 would even come close to using enough power to cause the problem. When I bought the PSU, the 295x2 was still $1500, and I didnt expect it to drop to around $600.
From what I've read, the pcie 2.0x16 shouldn't be a problem, but im still concerned about the PSU.

Solution
I'm personally running 2 overclocked r9 290x's on a 1000W PSU, and seeing ad the r9 295x2 is pretty much the same (slightly lower thermal limits) I would say it should run fine, as I've had no problems myself.
