How's my gaming pc? (First Build)

Solution
Pretty much everything is great. You might want to get a fully modular PSU to keep your case as neat as possible but that's up to you. The 4690k/ 970 combo is a crazy good. Picking up some nice Noctua case fans would help keep your system quiet and cool (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608038) but you can always get those later. The only other thing I could say is get an SSD and CPU cooler but you already said that you'll get them later.
Get a cheaper case and get an SSD. A 250gb SSD is the best (Kingston V300 240gb $85 at newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820721108&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Internal+SSDs-_-N82E16820721108&gclid=Cj0KEQiA1NWnBRDchObfnYrbo78BEiQA-2jqBWWwlVxZZlXTuxOFfT7XumtKiWv_xrvA10aeLED7ao0aAin78P8HAQ&gclsrc=aw.ds) but a 120gb will do if you have to. It makes a bigger difference than you think with loading times and start up times.

Do you need Windows or is that already taken care of?

Operating system is taken care of my kind mother is paying for that. 8.1 (64bit) Love the case the price is not a problem and I'm not really a sticker about boot times so what do you think about everything else? Aftermarket cooler in the future for sure but for now it should do fine and will everything work great right out of the box?

I thought that at first about SSD's and now I can't live without one. It's kind of like a mechanical keyboard: you don't think you need one until you have one.

Everything should work OOB but I've never built a PC without a hitch. Just be aware that you might have dead parts (low chance but still possible).

Well that's encouraging, hopefully I have some nice beginners luck. And I'll take your word on the SSD's, will be getting one later on after the pc is built.
