Hi to all who view this, I used my VPN for a few hours to download a few things, after I disconnected it I was then unable to get an internet connection using Google or Firefox, but I can get a connection to Google or Firefox if I reconnect to the VPN or connect my PC to the modem via WIFI. I have been using the VPN for a few months now with no problems. I did do a full virus scan using AVG & eliminated all found threats of which only minor ones appeared and restarted the PC afterwards. I use Express VPN as my VPN provider, my modem is a Sagemcom F@st3864 Optus P/N 253552136, MB is Asus Rampage extreme VI, Operating System: Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit. Connected devices are 1 PC, Samsung TV, occasionally a Sumsung tablet via WIFI & a Qnap NAS. If you need anymore info please don't hesitate to ask, also I am not sure if this is relevant or not but to access my NAS device I have had to disconnect my firewall in AVG When ever I want to access the NAS as I cannot get access otherwise even though it is allowed on the firewall listings for both AVG and windows, for this reason I only turn on the NAS whenever I want to transfer something onto it or off of it due to this problem and I do not access the internet during this time.
