Hey!

I built this computer a few years ago, mobo: asrock z77 e4 CPU: i5 3570 GPU: r9 280
So the other day, I rebuilt it because the cable management was awful and I wanted to get rid of the dust inside. But when i turn it on, and go into bios, it will not show me my hard drive and SSD. My computer will boot up into windows but its just strange that I cant choose my boot drive.
Is this a sign of my sata ports being broken? Any help is much appreciated.

Hey there, MadSuperHero!

I think that maybe some of the connections are loose, maybe. I'd suggest to reseat the cables to the HDDs again and make sure everything is plugged properly. A restart of BIOS might be a good idea as well. Here's a link that shows 3 ways to reset your BIOS: http://www.wikihow.com/Reset-Your-BIOS
Keep in mind that these methods will restore your BIOS setting back to default.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes though! :)

So I fixed it :) what i did was go into BIOS. Go to the advanced tab. Went to Storage Configuration Sata 0 (MY SSD) and set the Drive type to Solid State. Thanks for the help guys! :)
