Software to Increase CPU fan speed on GPU usage?

Hi Guys.

My laptop fan has begun to behave strangely recently and is not cooling my gpu sufficiently.

The fan seems to be controlled by CPU temp, which is fine, but the GPU heat pipe also runs to the same HSF.

I was hoping to be able to use MSI afterburner, but I get no fan control options on this as it doesnt detect the fan as a GPU fan.

Is there any software that I can use that I can get to control the fan speed on an increase in CPU and/or GPU temp?

Thanks!

It has an NVS5100 on a seperate chip, running via a seperate heat pipe. The cpu can stay cool while the gpu chip can heat way up.

My problem is that the fan used to spin up when the gpu was under use and heated, now it pulses the fan speed on a 1-2 second cycle.

Testing with Prime95 pushed the fan speed up nicely. Testing with furmark did not. Testing with both prime95 and furmark pushed the fan speed up again.

When I first purchased the laptop I ran furmark on it and the fan speed went up, this was with no other programs running. This is what I need to get back.

I have already pulled the covers, cleaned out the fan etc, thats how I know it has a heat pipe running to the same heat sink as the cpu.

Reseated the fan power cable on a second inspection after taking out the fan to see if that was the problem and it seems more reliable now. guess ill just have to keep a close eye on it.
