Hey every one i just finished my 1st custom loop, its look great, but i got a problem, both cpu and gpu getting too hot, temprature is normal when i am not playing games, mean (CPU 45C) (GPU 50C)

but when i try to playing, its getting too hot, temputres goes to 80+, and CPU stay low 70C, but now i was playing watch dog and computer just turned off no error etc.

i think its very high temp on custom loop, what do u think guys, it is ok with custom water loop.

thanks

im almost leaning to not enough rad for the system. that 9590 is a hot chip and the 290 is just about the same. i have the 8350 and 2 290x's after letting heaven loop for about an hour im only up to 50-55c on the gpu and about 40c on the cpu. that is with a 3x120 rad and 2x 140.i know it sucks to say buy might want to look into reseeating the water blocks. If you are lucky a pc shop in your area might have thermal pads that can be used on the gpu...

i just finished my bench marking now, i opened the computer case window now inside room temp is about 20C. here are new result.

Normal CPU Temp = 20C stable

Normal GPU Temp = 35C stable

Bench Marking Test
basic = GPU120fps temp 54C
basic = CPU temp 40C

ultra = GPU 70fps temp 65C
ultra = CPU 54C

Extream = GPU 60fps temp 76 stable
Extream = CPU temp 54C stable.

now GPU Temp is not going higher then 75C
and cpu 54C these are stable temp for extream test do u think its airflow problem in my case now i opened window case and i am getting this temp.

could be airflow related as your temps seam to be better. the TIM does need time to set how many fans do you have? And whats there layout? and what brand? I am using all corsair 2 af140 in front 1 af140 in rear and 3 sp120 hp in the top. After looking at your pic it looks like your lower rad fan is setup to blow out of the case from the bottom? if so id change it to pull in from the bottom.

You motherboard isn't 9000 series compatible..
http://us.msi.com/support/mb/970-GAMING.html#support-cpu
VRM's can't handle the heat. :(

Your choices for the 9000 series:

Asrock 970 Performance
ASRock 990FX Extreme9
ASRock 990FX Extreme6
Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z
Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0
Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 R4.0
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD7
MSI 990FXA-GD80V2

AMD.COM

Warning: This power draw of this CPU is almost twice that of the average CPU. Due to this, AMD recommends using at minimum a 1000W power supply. For cooling, AMD recommends using either either closed loop liquid cooling or full system liquid cooling.

It's not on the MSI page , the 10 listed above are compatible.

Great looking setup , wish he would have looked into it before he told you it was compatible.
