So my computer has started to within the last week started to freeze at random and itll stay frozen to the point it has to be hard rebooted in order to do anything. I originally thought this was due to me switching my virtual memory off my SSD to my HDD so i switched it back and rebooted, however it seems to still do it after a while.
This made me think that my R9 280 was defective since it only seemed to start happening at about the same time. So i returned it and got me a R9 270x since the 280s were sold out. However this morning, the same thing seems to have happened. I was chatting with friends when suddenly the Pc froze up and i had to shut it off.
I should note that This only seems to happen after i bring the computer back up from sleep. I am not sure if this could be a driver issue and my graphics drivers did not uninstall correctly or if its something else im not looking at. I also do not think its something with my OS as this is a fresh install on my SSD as i reinstalled about a month ago.

Thank you in advance for the help.

So it might be the plug in the wall or one of the plugs in the machine?

Either that or your PSU itself. Add your PSU specifics also.

If you can afford it, try using a different power supply and see if the issue persists. It could also be the cooling on the processor too:

Try also checking logs and see if there are any errors there:

Wont be able to get another PSU cause of how expensive they are. I will try to get the logs tonight when i get home and post them. I just find it strange that this only happens if i power up after i put it to sleep if i reboot or turn it off it doesnt do this.

Allow me to clarify, the computer only shuts down when after it is woken up, but NEVER does this when it is rebooted or turned on after its shutdown?

The computer doesnt shut down. After some time after i wake it up, could be hours could be minutes itll freeze up to the point that ill have to reboot it to get it to work. Doesnt do it on any specific application or anything.

Revert all settings back to default and reboot.
