Best liquid CPU cooler to get right now?

First off I am in the process of finishing a gaming build that was supposed to have been completed 7 months ago. I have the Asus Rampage IV black ed MB and the i7 4930k CPU which I plan to do some heavy OCing with (hopefully 5ghz plus). The PSU (EVGA 1000w G2) is on the way so I will need to get a CPU cooler and real soon. I was going to get the Corsair H110i GT but that cooler will apparently not be available for more than a few weeks. It has a CFM of 113 which is what I was looking for.

I am using a evo 212 in my system right now. This system is a Core 2 Quad 2.66ghz (Q6700) OCd to about 3.4 ghz and it runs at about 49 deg unless I am gaming then it jumps up to about 58 deg.

So what is a the next best, available now, liquid CPU cooler to the H110i GT?
I have been looking at the 100i and it looks promising at 77 CFM but the regular H110 has a better CFM at 94....
I only know the performance of the Corsair coolers but is there any other real choice for the price (which I would like to keep lower than $140)?

The best of the best CLCs is the H240x. It performs better than other water coolers on the market, as well as high end air coolers.
This is also coupled with the fact its technically not CLC, its and open loop, and it can be expanded to incorporate more waterblocks and rads.

I dont recommend spending that kind of money for a few % efficiency. The G2 series is phenomenal.
Why can't you put the evo on the i7 when you get it?
You won't even need to overclock the i7 in the first place to max any game on the market.

Pre-made watercoolers are not even close to 'best', that titles belongs to custom loops.

But with that being said,
The h100i will have similar performance to the H110, but the h100i comes with corsair link and a fancy RGB waterblock.
I'd look into the Kraken pre-mades as well.

I was thinking the same thing and just staying with the evo 212 until the H110i comes out. I really like the "fancy RGB waterblock"....lol. That would leave me enough room to get the EVGA 1000 P2 instead of the G2. Which is only marginally more efficient.... what to do?...lol
I know custom loops are better but I am only a beginner when it comes to liquid cooling, not to mention still sort of a beginner on the OCing part as my current build is my first. It's been running like this for more than a year.

I'd recommend keeping your evo, which will allow you to apply a modest overclock to your i7 (Even though it wont be needed). With the money you save by keeping your evo, you can put that money into better hardware like you mentioned, a more efficient PSU is ALWAYS a plus.

Well I will be trying to hit 5ghz with this CPU so a water cooler is a must... but I can wait for the 110i gt to come out.

On the PSU, the G2 is rated at something like 87% efficient and the P2 is only maybe 3% or 4% more efficient, but costs $60 more. Is it worth that much more?

I don't have the GPU yet as it is a toss between the GTX 970 or the 980 (which either will probably end up running in SLI). I don't really see the benefit of paying the extra $200 plus for the 980, but I am still on the bench as I really want the 980. But that decision will not be for another month. I will be using my current 750 Ti for now.

As applying an OC to the i7 wont be needed, I'd still put that on the back burner for now and spend big on parts now.
I agree, the 980 is no where near the bang 4 buck of the 970 right now... but down the line, will you regret buying the 970 instead?

And I'm not entirely familiar with the PSUs in question, use this list as reference.

You definitely want a t1 or t2 for a rig like this!

THe G2 is on tier 1 and the P2 is rated better than the G2 though I don't see it on the list. But that is expected because according to the OP it was listed in 2008....
The last I heard the EVGA platinum series is the best out there. But the G2 isn't far behind

Well, you could settle with the G2 and use the cash saved as an excuse to go with a 980 ;)
But the GPU market is about to be hitting some rocky roads, so right now is a bit of a bad time to be buying !

Oh, I assumed it had RGB color changing capability, but the color changing plates will do as it does have the led lighting. Just something to bring attention to the CPU that's all. I wonder if I should have asked for the clear polycarbonite body instead of the solid black.
