Hey Guys! I got a Intel i7 3770k at 4.5MHz an EVGA GTX 980 Superclocked (Single Card) 16GB of ram at 1600MHz and i have research about the combination of the GPU and CPU I have, and everybody talks about getting over 60 fps at 1080p I don't really get those frames with this combination do I have something wrong? I also have an Asus monitor at 144MHz 1080p any help would be appreciated...

Thanks in advances!:??:

which software you have used to check fps, also what temps your cpu and gpu have, and what settings your are using the game in. Could be anything wrong or nothing but few settings?

Most game these days have their own fps counter like Elite Dangerous and now Steam has its own counter and that's what i use pretty much, the Temps on my CPU is around 60 to 70C, on my video card not over 60C.

do you have vertical sync on or off? if on try turning it off. what drivers you have for gpu?if latest but installed on previous ones than uninstall them completely from control panel and reinstall latest ones. if you are going for ultra settings than try high settings to just test if lower is giving more or not. if you have overclocked the gpu then might be something wrong with that overclock or other settings in the evga software try it there too

What's that man? Where can i find it and disable it? Don't know much about this card, I was with AMD before this and the only experience with Nvidia I have is with my laptop that has a GTX 765m, but I know the GTX 980 is way powerful.

I did all you tell me here to do and still having the same fps, but I like to ask you something... can the hard drive could be my bottleneck?
i have 2 hard drives, 1 is from a laptop, and the 1 I'm running the OS is a 500GB wish is almost full.
because I'm thinking to upgrade those for a 480GB SSD and 1TB Raptor.

well laptop hard disk usually runs at lower rpm so it could be that but that only happens when new data is required like loading a new level or stage or something like that but once done it requires less data. Try running disk cleanup on all drives and don't forget to click clean system files, when you click clean system files more options will be shown almost select all except recycle bin unless you don't have important things in there and clear the shadow copies and restore points too it will only clear then till last restore points. Given images below for better understanding.

Alright! almost everyone I've ask about the frame rate for this game tell me that they are running it above 60fps with an older gpu, and I only get between 30 to 50 fps with my video card, DCS World

This way we will be sure that fps are real than shown on screen in-game fps counter or same as shown in game. Also could it be you are streaming your games using shadow play or something?

No man! I'm not streaming my games, I haven't even think about it with this frames, but yeah I have defragmented the disks with Smart defrag and with Disk defragmenter that came with windows. Not really seen any improvement.
