I recently bought an FX-9590, only to find that my 500w PSU was too weak to handle it. (derp) I experienced multiple freezes and failures to startup. Will a 750w Corsair PSU be enough to handle this?

The other issue was that of cooling. I currently use a Cooler Master Hyper 101a. My temps in HWMonitor and CoreTemp idled around 30, but the bios temp was a consistent 55. This worried me, and I began to wonder if HWMonitor and CoreTemp were reporting my temps inaccurately, and if my cpu was at risk of overheating during gameplay. Which temp is correct? Do I need a new cooler?

My Specs:
CPU: AMD FX-9590
GPU: MSI GTX 970 Gaming
PSU: Thermaltake TR2 500W
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper101a

Yeah, a 750w psu will run your pc. The bios temp is probably correct, and 55C (I assume) is not dangerous at all, it's fine. HWMonitor and CoreTemp is just a software and many times it can be inaccurate. I don't think you'll need a new cooler.

EDIT: If you want/need to go with a Corsair PSU cause it's cheaper or smth, avoid the CX series. Otherwise, go with what damric suggested or a silverstone or xfx psu.
