I tried installing a new stick of RAM (4gb) into my motherboard and now the computer refuses to boot with it. I already have 2x 2GB sticks of RAM in there. All of the RAM's frequencies are the same (1600). The two sticks of RAM I already have in my computer are:

and the stick I'm trying to install is :

My specs:

GTX 970
i5 2500k
600W PSU
MSI P67A-C43 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67

Please offer any advice if you have any. I am pretty bummed out I can't have 8GB inside of my computer right now :(. Thanks everyone

Solution
Try with just the new 4GB stick, go into BIOS and enable XMP, then raise the DRAM voltage to 1.55, save, exit shutdown. Add the 2x2GB sticks in slots 3-4 and boot it up, let us know what it does

Says the ram timings are slightly different, that might be the cause. Also, the it says that you need to oc to use ddr3-1600mhz ram on your motherboard but since you've already been running your 4gb of ram so I don't think that's the problem.

I did what you said and I got it working! Thanks so much! I have another question!

I did what you said and enabled XMP and raised my DRAM voltage to 1.55.

I opened up CPU-Z and noticed that under Clocks, my Core Speed is fluctuating from 1596.19 MHz to 3.6GHz.

Will this be a problem and will it affect my performance? Thanks a lot again

Also, to add onto that, based on RealTemp, my CPU seems to be shooting up to as high as 88 Celcius when I play games. Could this have been because of the DRAM voltage increase? I don't rmeember my CPU being this hot before. I'm using stock cooler by the way.
