Adding old RAM to improve performance

Good evening,
I've question for you, which i am prety positive you'll answer prety easily.
I've Gigabyte H61M-DS2H Rev 2.0 With 1x 4gb DDR3 1333Mhz Kingston Ram.
Let's say, for reasons unknown, i want to add into my second free slot (1out of2) Oldie but goldie 2GB DDR3 1333Mhz rendition(or Crucial, dunno) Should work right?
Well this is where devil comes in.
Everytime i am trying to pop it together, computer goes into some sort of frenzy. Boots for 3-4 seconds and then restarts over and over again.
Where might be the problem? It could be outdated BIOS, i said to myself, but after some browsing in Gigabyte official website BIOS update page, non of the updates add more compatibility of new/old memory(could it be that it's not that important for them to write it in description?).
So what do you guys think, what could be devil in this one eh?

Some random things i think you should know:
1. BIOS there's no such thing as X.M.P
2. I did try both these RAM's in my older Mobo and it worked fine(can't use it becouse CPU is not compatible though)
3. I did try to Boot with only old RAM Same effect, as i mention before It does work in older Mobo tho even when i pop both fo them.
4. I did try to disconect everything except CPU+heatsink,GPU and then add both of these RAMs

Solution
Make sure you have the latest BIOS. Start with the 4GB in slot 1 closest to the CPU, manually set to 1333 9-9-9-27 and set DRAM voltage to 1.55 or 1.56, save, exit, shutdown. Next add the 2GB and give it a try

Yes, it should work in theory. In practice there are often quirks.

Yes, BIOS updates are very poorly documented. Often it is impossible know what really changed in one release to the next.

Maybe your second RAM slot is dead? Did you try the working 4GB stick in the 2nd slot?
Or maybe it is just some incompatibility between the MB and the 2GB stick.

"Can try, if any problems give me a shout"

Well it doesn't work *insert shout here*

"Maybe your second RAM slot is dead? Did you try the working 4GB stick in the 2nd slot?

4GB ram stick works fine in both of the slots

"What are the model #s of the sticks?"

I wouldn't know, but i'll write everything what's on Stickers on RAM:
2GB Rendition by Crucial (working fine only in older mobo)
RM25664BA1339.8FD
2GB DDR3 240-PIN 256MX64 PC3-1
DX111NM.4Z

Kingston 4GB (working fine)

Hope that helps. Could it be CPU problem? I've had it fixed recently after bending some pins btw, maybe there's problem?
