Hyper 212 Evo in Aerocool Strike-X One

Solution

Well depends upon how you define "touching". If it is merely touching with no visible space in between, then sure.

If it does touch and indeed have a couple of mm more than the space between the bottom of the cooler and the side, then that should be the definition of "not fitting".

Edit:

Just noticed your name, Mr.@Greekslimshady, and you gave me a good laugh. Thank you, lol.

[strike]SO, we have 1 yes, 1 no.[/strike] Disregard.

The specs for the case say 158mm max (without fan)
The specs for the cooler say it is 159mm

Now...one or the other may be off a little bit. But just going at face value for the specs...no, it won't fit.
Only way to actually verify yes is someone that has that exact combination, and can show pics of it in the case and working.

Failing that, I'd say no.

I only see NO!

Right. The 1 'yes' vote was changed while I was typing that....:)

Yes, indeed. It was my fault though. I thought I had the answer at Aerocool's website, as I believed the intrinsically optimistic evaluation of my observational skills was correct. However, it indeed turned out that I was wrong. lol.

Having said all that, sometimes the numbers are off a bit.
The Antec ONE lists max cooler height at 155mm. The Hyper 212 Plus cooler, at 158mm, fits with several mm to spare.
I have that combination.

But that is NOT something to count on.

I actually own an EVO 212 cooler for my 4690k. Give me a couple of minutes and I will measure it. Just for fun, anyways.

edit, Mr. USAFRet made essentially the same point. It may fit as the specifications advertised may be some millimeters off, hence either allowing or disallowing the use of the EVO in your case.

CRYORIG H7 is the new budget champ.

Better , smaller and much easier to install than the EVO.
