Cannot install windows to selected Disk. Only Hd im using

I just built a new Rig and Windows will not let me install it to the only hd im using.

I tried formatting it and making it unallocated space, then made sure its first in boot priority,
It tells me cannot install windows to disk 1 partition one. which is the only partition created when i click new.

any help would be appreciated . im also using the proper sata format

Boot from your install media
When it asks 'Where', select Custom
Delete whatever partitions are on there
Create new partition
Format
Windows should then install as normal

I Followed your steps. Unfortunately i'm still getting the same message. It tells me It still tells me windows cannto be installed on drive 1 partition 1

How many drives are connected?
You're booting from the install media?
You deleted all existing partitions on that drive?

just the one hd and the optical drive im using to install.
im booting from install media
and i deleted all partitions
it also tells me its not a bot drive for some reason

Solution
The resolution to this issue depends on the the hard disk volume size:

Follow these steps if the hard disk volume size is less than 2.19 TB:
Temporarily disable the EFI Boot Sources setting in the BIOS:
Restart the computer, and then press F10 to enter the BIOS.
Navigate to Storage > Boot Order , and then disable the EFI Boot Sources .
Select File > Save Changes > Exit .
Install the Windows operating system.
Enable the EFI Boot Sources setting in the BIOS:
Restart the computer, and then press F10 to enter the BIOS.
Navigate to Storage > Boot Order , and then enable the EFI Boot Sources .
Select File > Save Changes > Exit .

For some reason when the installation media is started from the ueif option it doesnt allow you to install to hard disk . just start the media from your bios choosing the non ueif option and it worked
