2 R9 270s for 200 is a bargain... are they new? I'm guessing not. Anyways, either it'd be with a single 200$ card or those 2 you'll get good frames on max settings.

Something worth to note is that a single card is always a more stable option than two, as some games don't even support CF, making it not be an exact "double the performance" deal... it never would be anyways.

You'd struggle on entirely max settings (without Optifine) as the game starts stuttering and lagging to hell, even on my decent system (engine limitations).

OP, what are your other specs?

Really? I have it maxed out, no Optifine and not a single stutter or lag has been seen..... well, I once dropped to 30 ish fps but can you do with so much TNT being set off :p. I think you might have some specific problem, cause, though I do realize minecraft's engine isn't exactly the best, saying it's impossible to play on max settings even with a decent computer is absurd.

I don't have any, I was asking here so I could make a thread where somebody makes a build for me regarding my choice.

As said above, more specs would be appreciated. Those deals sound too good, are you buying from someone trustworthy? Well, for 200$ nothing can really compare to those R9 270s.....

I have an i5 3470, 8GB RAM, GTX 770 and when I put it above around 24 chunks it becomes basically unplayable, horrid stuttering and now framerates.

Oh, above 24 chunks, nevermind what I said before. I put it to 36 once and it kind of........ yeah, 20 ish fps with stutters isn't playable. I was wrong for saying "Max" settings. I consider that to be 16 chunks, but yeah, you're right.

I'll come back to you in a few seconds then. Do you mean a 1700$ build or one that is 1000 and other that's 700?

Do you want to overclock your CPU?

Just throw both the R9 270s in there and you're set.

This will be able to record and play Minecraft? On Medium Settings? Such as 12 chunks etc?

Yes, those cards will handle it just fine as they're actually better than a single R9 280x.... so better than GTX 770. You can even record in max settings 1080p....... just don't try recording it at 60fps, or if you do, turn your recording resolution to 720p.
