1 SSD vs. 2 RAID SSDs (no TRIM)

So, I have a Samsung 830 256GB SSD on a Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3P.
I have purchased a second identical SSD, not realizing my 6 series board didn't natively support TRIM for RST.

SO, now I have a conundrum.

Should I go ahead and do the 2 SSDs in RAID 0 without TRIM (I only have 19GB avail) or;
Does someone have/done the OROM update for my board they'd be willing to share the BIOS for? It's a little over my technical wantings (I could probably do it but don't want to brick my board).

Solution
Space is space.
256GB + 256GB is 512GB, RAID or no RAID.

You gain the 'benefit' of a single drive letter for the whole space
You also gain the 'benefit' of a fail of either drive, or the controller software dying...you lose the whole thing.

Just have them as two individual drives and drive letters.

I'm more concerned with space than rendering. And though I'm not looking for a speed upgrade, it would be nice but it's not top priority. I guess my question is, running in RAID without TRIM, is that bad? Unless I can find a BIOS of course... :)
