Hello guys,

I'm assembling a new Gaming PC, and I'm on a $1500 budget.

I was messing around Newegg and came up with the following build suggestions:

Intel Core i5-4690K
GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-UD3H-BK
2x HyperX Savage 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 2133
CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W 80 PLUS GOLD
Western Digital Blue WD10EZEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache
Patriot Blaze 2.5" 240GB SATA III (SSD)
Corsair Carbide Series 400R Graphite grey and black ATX Mid Tower Gaming Case
2x ZOTAC ZT-90101-10P GeForce GTX 970 4GB 256-Bit DDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16

($1410) are zotacs good?

vs

Intel Core i5-4690K
GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-SLI
HyperX Fury Black Series 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 1600
MSI GTX 980 GAMING 4G GeForce GTX 980 4GB
Patriot Blaze 2.5" 240GB SATA III(SSD)
Western Digital Blue WD10EZEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB
Corsair Carbide Series™ 330R Titanium Edition Black Steel Aluminum and Plastic Mid-Tower Computer Case
700-Watt Modular 80 PLUS Gold +12V Rail ATX 12V Active-PFC PSU - SLI & Crossfire Ready - VALENS Series from Rosewill (Model:VALENS-700M)

($1255) gtx 980, bad ram, cheap

vs

Intel Core i5-4690K
MSI GTX 980 GAMING 4G GeForce GTX 980 4GB
ASUS Z97-A LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
HyperX Savage 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 2133
Crucial BX100 CT500BX100SSD1 2.5" 500GB (SSD)
SeaSonic SSR-650RM 650W 80 PLUS GOLD
$99 case

($1450) 500gb ssd, good ram, good mobo

---------

Which one would you pick? Or what would you suggest? Thanks!

Solution
I would use a single GTX 980 over dual GTX 970s to avoid the micro-stuttering problem.

I would suggest MSI, Asus, or Gigabyte graphics cards.

this would be my recommended build it's slightly over but if you wanted to reduce the price then you could use cheaper fans, 8gb of ram or the stock cpu cooler
