Athlon X4 760K w/ R9 280x?

I've been planning on upgrading my Geforce GTX 750 Ti to an XFX Radeon R9 280x. Will it be good with an AMD Athlon X4 760K? That is my current processor. If not, what other graphics cards around the $200 range will be good?

NOTE: I plan on upgrading the CPU to an i5 later in the future.

760K is a little workhorse, and very fast when properly tuned. You WILL see noticeable graphics improvements in games like Far Cry when you upgrade to the R9 280x.

I did a similar upgrade a few motnhs ago and now I can max that game out on Ultra (instead of just high). I get a few FPS dips into the 40s once in a while but nothing to worry about.
