Newly built computer. Plug in Ethernet cable. Comp doesn't seem to realize it's plugged in(no lights or anything on the plug)

Newly built computer. Plug in Ethernet cable. Comp doesn't seem to realize it's plugged in(no lights or anything on the plug) troubleshooter says "windows(8.1) could not find driver for your network adapter" don't know what to do. Help?

no. let me try that now. okay so i downloaded Realtek 10/100/1000 PCI-E NIC Family Driver unto a flash drive and opened it on the new comp but when i ran it i got this messege http://i.imgur.com/bMZlfLD.jpg
