Hi!

I have this motherboard that is not turning on. I've tried to replace the PSU (working in another computer), replaced the power button, re-assembled the system, and made sure that all the connectors are connected but still didn't turn on. I know that the PSU gives power to the MOBO because the LED on the MOBO is turned on. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi, If starting the board (short the 2 pins on the motherboard), only CPU and CPU fan installed, both 24 and 4/8 pin power cables connected, does the CPU fan spin? If not and the power supply does work, then the board might be defective.

Sorry for taking too long to reply. Thanks, my motherboard still works, there might be a problem with the case? Because I removed all the components from the case and tested it, scattered all over my desk. Also, I've noticed that there is a weird noise coming in the hard drive. Anyway, everything is good. Thanks again!

I have the same board. I'm wondering if the metal mounting brackets for my thermaltake frio 12 could have shorted out my board. I also noticed the cmos jumped had come off the board and didn't notice it until after several attempts to power the board. I cleared cmos w the jumper and took the battery out for longer than an hour. I tested the power supply w the evga power tester.

If I just have the cpu in the socket and the cpu fan connected and shorting out the system power pins doesn't turn the fan on, and I screwed?
