Good laptop for software and app development? (java, C, etc)?

I have a budget of approx $1600...

Need something strong enough to do coding for software and application development, but ideally one that doesn't weight as much as a ROG G751 and has decent battery life.

Any help would be appreciated

I am not really good at recommending laptops as I have only used 1 laptop for high end things but I can let you know what it should have.

1. Make sure it has either a i5 is the programs you make are small or i7 if they are large and complex.
2. Only go for discrete gpu's if the programs you make use them while compiling. Most ide's will be run on the igp rather than the discrete as the cpu can execute the program faster.
3. Make sure that is has 8 gigs or more of ram. This is important when multi - tasking
