Hello,

Right now we're using SquirellMail, and have approx. ~200 users, however we want to move on onto a different mailserver that supports Calendar sharing, Meetings and all that stuff.
Obviously there are a lot of free IMAP/POP3 mailservers but we need Connectors for those mail servers, and the connectors are expensive. Open X-Change's connector is about 21 EUR per user? That's insane. Same with Cytadel having it 29 dollars per user. Heck, even the Exchange online Plan 1 is cheaper than this. What's the best option? If not free, then at least the cheapest?

Regards,
Alex.

Solution
postfix is #1 for performance and security and is the default MTA in RedHat/CentOS, that sould speak volumes for what is "best". Exim is also very good and a bit easier to configure.

Debian has nice collection of groupware softwares that can be configured to use postfix, sendmail, exim as backend.

Postfix is an MTA, not a group-ware server.
