Hi Guys,
Basically this is a new machine I built, installed windows 8.1 2 days ago all up to date.
When installing Solidworks and Photoshop etc I am getting errors regarding 2008 and 2010 installation of C++ re distributable. when trying to install manually I get a "error 997.overlapped i/o operation is in progress". When trying to install 2010 manually I just get installation failed.
I have googled this and the hotfix people suggest (ending 88) when downloaded says it doesnt apply to my machine and the update which was supposed to cause the inital issue ending 14 doesn't seem to be on my PC.
I am at a loss here any suggestions?
