Computer using pagefile even after I turn it off

I have recently been trying to figure out why my computer only uses a little under 6GB of ram while I have 8GB and my pagefile goes up to 10GB sometimes. I am running Windows 8.1 pro 64Bit. So to see if my computer would use all of the ram If it had no pagefile I decided to try and turn it off I went to the advanced system settings and went to pagefile then I switched pagefile to off and restated the computer but when I go look in msi afterburner (only pagefile program I could find to monitor pagefile usage) and it says it is still using pagefile. Even when I play Call of duty advanced warfare I don't get any memory crashes. which according to msi afterburner uses a lot of ram. I am sorry if this is long and confusing but I am confused myself.

Solution
Windows likes to keep a certain amount of RAM free at all times, it will actively clean out RAM and move low priority stuff to pagefile in order to keep things moving smoothly (Not having to write, then read any time a new piece of data is needed). This is a feature of windows, you can turn it off, but it's best to not mess with it too much unless you have 32GB of RAM or more.

If you have that much RAM you could cheat and create a RAMdisk and set the pagefile location to RAM.
