I would like to ask u guys question. Is it ok if i put this ram KHX1600C9D3B1K2/8GX to this mobo M4A79T with this procesor Phenom II X4 965BE. I wanna upgrade ny ram, and i have good price on this RAM only for 50euros, but am not sure if it wil works together. Ram is 1,65V it will be a problem? And on Vendor list there are only 1,2,4,6 GB rams/kits, i didnt see any 8GB ram/kit. And i cant find if my mobo suport 2x4GB ram. Also phenoms II oficially support only 1333MHz ram but i read on forums that it shouldnt be problem to run 1600Mhz ram, only need to manually change it in bios. So i was thinking, what if i buy that ram, bios automaticly set it to 1333Mhz, it will be underclocked so i can decsrease th voltage from 1,65V to 1,5V.

Thanks for any replies, sorry for my not perfect english

Solution
There can be a little more to it than just setting to 1600, with a 965 will prob want to :

1. Set DRAM Frequency to DDR3-1600

2. Set CPU-NB Frequency to 2400MHz (DDR3-1600 / 2 = 800MHz, then x 3) CPU-NB Frequency should always be 3X DRAM bus frequency

3. Set HT Link Frequency to 2400MHz

4. Set timings to tCL 9 - tRCD 9 - tRP 9 - tRAS 24, or whatever your memory is rated for.

5. Set DRAM Voltage to 1.50V, or whatever your memory is rated for.

6. Most CPUs will need a CPU-NB Voltage boost of +0.10V, so if your default is 1.10V, set it to 1.20V.

Oh, thank you for reply.
PS: by setting correct timing and latency u mean, change it from auto to manual and set it in this case manualy on 9-9-9-27 1600Mhz.? values which Kingston recomending for this ram.

Ok, i am asking for advice . I do everything what umention Tradesman1, only what i didnt do ,is set CPU-NB voltage boost from 1.10V to 1.20V. But it is seems that PC works ok with 1.10V. I run MemTest for more than 1 hour, all 8GB tested for more that 100% coverage. 0 errors. So am asking should i set CPU-NB to 1.20v even if it looks like everything run ok with 1.10V?

Thanks for answers
