i just bought a wireless adapter card for my desktop and when i reboot the system it says "installing drivers" then it says the driver is ready to use. But the internet icon says that the wireless adapter doesn't show up. i checked device manager and it says that the device reported a problem and windows disabled it (Code: 43) everything i've tried hasn't worked.. help?

its a rosewill Wireless N PCI-E Adapter RNX-N250PCe
on a matx gigabyte am1 board

Solution
try uninstalling the driver from the device manager, then download the driver from Rosewill's website for this particular model and installing that. Windows often finds the correct driver for you, but usually, it's best to download it manually from the manufacturer's website.

tried, it gave me, Network Controller "No Driver Found"
then afterward it restated. then the wifi bars showed up. but it said "No connections are available"
opened the network and internet panel, then clicked on "view network status and tasks" then on "see full map"
it gave me one sentence "The adapter is not connected"

it gave you that error when you tried to install the rosewill driver or when you tried to uninstall the the windows found driver? If it's the uninstall, try the uninstall in safe mode.

Did you actually browse to the driver that you downloaded? Try these steps:

followed that exactly. popped up "The Best driver software for your device is already installed. Windows has determined the software for your device is up to date. Realtek RTL8192CE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC"
