Hello,

I am building a computer exclusively for video editing and would love some feedback on my build before I go ahead and purchase the parts; this list has been updated to reflect the suggestions made (dropped to 8gb ddr 4 to afford the appropriate mobo):

Case:

Graphics card:

Power supply:

RAM:
(x1)

MOBO:

CPU:

SSD:

P.S. I already have a DVD drive and an extra internal hard drive.

Thanks in advance!

Solution
Hi,
No, the CPU does not match the board (LGA 1155 vs 2011 v3).
Then I suggest buying a kit of memory instead of 2x1 module.

Hello,

I have fixed the motherboard issue, and decided to get 1 stick of 8gb ddr 4 instead of the 2 8gb ddr 3 sticks. Is the build workable now?

Thanks

Though you are not gaming, video editing will require good clean power. Your PSU choice should probably be upgraded. Though Rosewill has some very good units, the one you have chosen is lower end quality - if nothing else it it is the 2 year warranty that tells me this. Check this out for about the same price:

Manufactured by Seasonic, more then enough power for your system, and a 5 year warranty.
Your spending your hard earned money; don't skimp on power quality as a failing PSU can destroy your system.

alexoiu is correct; using only one RAM module will affect performance as the multiple memory channels can't be used; that board has 8 slots for quad channel memory. At the very least get two 4GB, or figure a way to get 2 x 8GB sticks, so you can at least do dual-channel.
