Bad stuttering on new video card - looking for help

As the title states I purchased a new video card recently. I got a EVGA Geforce GTX 960 Super Superclocked ACX2.0 to replace my older card an EVGA Nvidia gtx260 which was probably 5-6 years old. Got the card installed just fine and hooked up to my PSU without issues. I can play games but after awhile they start to stutter very badly. My FPS will drop to like 5-10 and it's basically unplayable. Even games like League of Legends which doesn't really take much system specs to run. Mainly I play League of legends, World of Warcraft, and Dying Light lately and I see the same issues in all 3 games.

My comp specs are:
ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 mobo
Intel Core i5 3350p3.1ghz processor
8 gig of ram
EVGA Geforce GTX 960 super superclocked ACX2.0 graphics card
Antec 620watt power supply
Wired keyboard and mouse

Just wondering if anyone knows what might be occurring. Games are usually fine for awhile before the stuttering occurs. I've tried to open up my task manager and see how much CPU power is being used on the games but nothing looks too crazy. I'm open to looking at some other tools or what not to monitor the GPU itself and see if anything is going on if anyone can recommend something.

I would say a good upgrade to a stock cooler is a hyper 212 evo they are quite cheap. I use one on my amd fx-8350 with the standard fan and it keeps the temps under 50 degrees. I would say you want your ppt eps to stay under 80 degrees when gaming, they should only go over for stress testing.

I'm guessing you want to know the CPU and GPU temps while I'm playing a game but I checked the CPU and Mobo temps in the bios after a restart and it was between 64-68 Celsius and the mobo was about 31 Celsius. Any programs you can recommend for checking temps?

Ok I found a program. CPU cores are running around 95 Celsius and the GPU temp is 57 Celsius that was right after ending a game of League of Legends where my FPS was dropping to like 3-8 FPS. I can play like 15-20 minutes with fine FPS and then around 15 20 minutes is when I start getting horrendous FPS drop.

The problem would appear to be your cpu temps. Intel processors start to slow down at 95 degrees. I would suggest either reseating your cooler and if that dosen't fix it you may need an after market version. However the gpu temps seem fine.

It's pretty dusty I'm going to try some compressed air and clean it out if I can and see if that helps. It just seems weird I never had that problem until I changed cards.

Is it possible the CPU can be damaged if the temperatures get too high? I just tried it in World of Warcraft and they reached about 100 Celsius and then the frames dropped really low in that game. Just wondering if it might have sustained damage from getting so hot or if I'm able to fix the temperature problem if it will end up being ok.

It won't outright kill the CPU however sustained high temperature can reduce the CPU's lifespan,
So basically not reccommended but won't cause chip destruction
When installing the card you may have knocked the cooler or somehow unseated it while installing the card

What kind of temp should my CPU be running at if I am just web browsing and what not? It seems to be around 55-60 Celsius right now not playing any games. Just wondering if that's considered high.

It just goes crazy high to 105 Celsius on the temp with any game then it just becomes unplayable. Do you recommend a new processor at this point or should I just try a new cooler? ANy idea where I can get a cooler that will fit my mobo?
