I would be having to use the Intel Core i5 stock cooler until I can get a more efficient one. I wouldn't be gaming until I get another one, I would just be surfing the web and installing my software. So would my processor maintain a safe temp until then? Oh yeah, also I do have Pre - applied T.I.M. (Thermal Paste).

Solution
the cooler that comes in the box is perfectly functional. no reason not to game until you get a better one. sure, it may be a bit noisy but it works. after all, that's what intel expects you to use on the cpu. sure it may not work ok if you overclock but on default speeds it's a perfectly good cooler.

Solution
Stock coolers are just fine. If you install it right, have good case ventilation (thats more important than anything) it will keep your CPU within spec temperature just fine, even for mild overclocks. Its being supplied by the people who made and are standing behind the warranty on the processor, right? Stock heatsinks are not as bad as many people make them out to be. Make sure your case has good ventilation, and you will be just fine to game or do what ever you want.
