I have purchased about two weeks ago a R9 290 and a FX8320 which are running stock speeds and I had a PSU that did not support the graphics card and plugged in a old PSU that did ( bought it cheap like a week ago ) and today just about two hours ago I bought a CORSAIR CX750 and my computer continues to restart please help me! I am scared to tell my parents and I have been trying almost everything.

I was looking at these earlier, they might help you.
Additionally, if your Motherboard has an onboard graphics processor (I believe all AM3+ boards do, but I'm not sure) try switching to the original PSU and un-plugging the R9 290, using the onboard video instead. At first glance, it sounds like a PSU problem.
Does anything pop up on the monitor before it restarts, or does it just reboot?

it has a horrific quality.the FX 8350 and the R9 290 is a power hungry system and makes a lot of heat and notice that we recommend at least a good 550w PSU for an low power gaming system

Hello guys/girls I think I have managed to fix my issue I have 2x4gb Corsair Vengeance ram and I took out one stick and my system rebooted within 1-2 mins of being on. I took it out and replaced it with the other stick and now I have been running my system for a long period of time (30 mins not gamed on it yet though) and Corsair makes solid PSU's with 3 Years warranty and also AMD_UK had suggested me it so yeah. Thanks for the help any way if I have any problems I will keep you guys updated. Thank you.

most AM3+ boards do not have onboard gpu. Only the APU chips can support onboard gpus, not the fx line

My AM3+ board does have onboard graphics. I'm not talking about cpu integrated graphics, but motherboard integrated graphics.

Also why the heck did i get best answer? o.0

I have the Asus M5A78L-M LX PLUS, currently saving for a better MB as this was my first build and I didn't do anywhere near enough research the first time around.
