PC players vs Console players

Will we ever get a invention that would allow PC gamers to play against Console gamers to finally see which platform is most skillful?

P.S I shouldve put this as a discussion thread, maybe Mods can change that.

This was tried at one time. PC players destroyed the console players. Mouse/keyboard combo is much faster than a controller.

I think it would be cool but I don't know how it would work. The game couldn't be an FPS or MMO.

No invention would allow this to happen. It's up to the devs to to do it. There are a few cross platform games but differences in controls complicate things or make things unfair. War thunder, ff14, portal 2, are just some recent ones that do.
