Hey guys!

I'm wanting to build a gaming PC for around a budget of £550/$820, I'm new to this, so I'm not too sure if the parts are compatible with each other, but I've tried.

I'd love to know if all of these parts are compatible with eachother.

Also, if you can think of better specs for the price budget, that are all compatible. Please go ahead and recommend them to me.

Thanks :)

Pcpartpicker tells you if your parts don't work so if it didn't, it's fine. You might need to update your motherboard BIOS. Change your cpu to a FX-8320 because you can easily overclock it and get a XFX R9 280x with the money you save. Otherwise, it looks fine imo.

Already have a case, optical drive and an OS. So I didn't include it.

What is the performance gain with having the i5 4690k quad 3.5 ghz cpu? Would it be noticeably different?

I've heard a lot of good stuff about the AMD FX-8350

The i5 is much better in terms of gaming performance. But if you're going to do video editing and/or video rendering, go with the FX-8350 since it can utilize the extra cores.

you can trade off the i5 with an i7 4790k but it will be more costy, but will work better with video editing.personally I have an i5 right now and its less efficient than the one I put in he build and I still edit videos's very very well.a new case would be needed maybe if your old one is outdated or too cheap(100$+ cases tend to have more airflow, only the one I saw I don't know if there is any rule breaker).if you want to overclock the cpu a K serie one will work much more better because its unlocked, but do not forget to add a cooler then as it will heat more.
don't forget to pick best answer.
