I have a PC here and it takes a very long time to print from web browsers, like Chrome and Firefox.
It's running Windows XP 32-bit and here are the specs:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X2 550
RAM: 4GB Dual-Channel DDR3 669Mhz
Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. GA-MA78LMT-US2H (Socket M2)
298GB Hitachi HDS721032CLa362 (SATA)
I have absolutely no idea why it takes so long. It can go up to five minutes to "change" to a new printer we recently just bought on Google's print layout, and even when it comes to actually printing it takes a while. I tried using the system dialogue and it just takes a while to load up the printer box.
I suggested to my Dad he buy a basic AM3+ Motherboard and I will put my old AMD Athlon II X4 640 3Ghz processor in to make it faster and fix the issue, however I don't want to do that and have wasted money by having the same issue.
Would upgrading the processor fix the issue, or is it something else? Cheers!
