Hi,
I wanted to do a clean Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium install because I got a load of crap on my computer.
The thing is, that I got a pre-installed Windows 7 on my computer and when I want to download a clean iso from microsoft site it doesn't let me because it was already pre-installed. Is there any way I can re-install my system?

Solution
Your PC should have a recovery partition and function to create a DVD set.
No, this isn't as good as an actual 'clean install', but it will wipe out whatever junk is on there, and return the system to how it came from the store.

Bad timing I'm afraid. A few weeks ago I would have simply posted you some links, but Microsoft have taken them down.

The new "Microsoft Software Recovery" that replaced them will only let you download Windows media if you have a retail key. Excuse the language, but it's total horse crap. OEM Windows is still a valid copy Windows in my eyes.

Agreed. But I think the MS rationale is - you 'bought' the OS from whoever you bought the PC from, so contact them.
That, and wanting to get people off Windows 7.
