Safe to delete File History folder ? Windows 8.1

Hi,

Is it safe to delete this folder : C:\Users\admin\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\FileHistory\Data

It is taking up around 6g so I would like to delete it.

File history is turned off.

I'm using Windows 8.1

It seems like everything is fine. I also noticed the files just look like old ''File history'' backups that remained even after I turned that feature off. Thank you.
