Hello All,
I have a problem with making Dual Graphics work in a machine I built for the wife. Specs are as follows:
AMD A8 7600
8GB (2 x 4) Mushkin 2133MHz
XFX R7 250 1GB GDDR5
Gigabyte A88x Motherboard
I have followed Gigabyte's instructions as to setting up dual graphics in the bios; Force IGPU, set frame buffer, first display pci-e. And I enable Dual Graphics through Catalyst Control Center with latest Omega driver.
Problem is that performance/frame rate is terrible with dual graphics. For example:
With all of the above setup - Titanfall 30-40FPS @ 720p low settings, Dragon Age: Origins (a favorite of my wife's) 55-65FPS @ 1080p high settings with no AA.
With all of the above settings reversed, utilizing only the R7 250 - Titanfall 55-65FPS @ 720p low settings, Dragon Age: Origins 70-90FPS @ 1080p high settings with low AA.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have watched videos and read articles stating the performance improvements using my exact combination of APU & GPU. Does anyone know any secrets, any trick that I'm missing?

Any and all help is much appreciated.
