Hi,

I promise I read all the stickys before posting this question!

Here's my problem; I've got a faulty motherboard which is a P8H61-M PRO

I need to replace it and it's difficult as a newcomer to find a suitable replacement. As far as I can gather I need 1155 socket, ATX form factor, 240 pin DIMM DDR3 1333/1066MHz.

Am I right in thinking that the Asus H61M-F Motherboard would be a suitable replacement?

I will be using the same processor, RAM, HDD, DVD-ROM, case and everything else.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

Thanks.

The PC won't boot - doesn't even post - and the HDMI or surround sound were never used.

The only issue is I don't know what the processor is so I was assuming that if it worked on a 3 year old motherboard then a new one would be fine. Is that a reasonable assumption?
