would a i7-3770 work fine on this board

i have had it for year and half , works fine , no problems
just finding it odd to pair an i7 with it , might ask before

It should be fine if you updated the BIOS.

With the appropriate BIOS update, that processor should work perfectly fine with that motherboard.

but i know it would fit , since the web says so
i would like to know is it good idea ? it's not the best board out there , does not have many features , and it still i7 ,
would not want to buy it then find out it does not give a 100%performance du to motherboard limits of some kind
i need i7 for engineering programs
