So i am running a ga-z68x-ud3h-b3 motherboard with an i7 2600k from a few years ago, I have been running into memory issues with the current 1333mhz memory so i was going to replace it I have decided to go with this 2133mhz memory http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231755
With the setup i have i know its compatible with the motherboard but the cpu it does not list it.
I'm planning on replacing my current 1333mhz with this 2133mhz.
Would this work?

Solution
From your MB website:

4 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 32 GB of system memory
* Due to Windows 32-bit operating system limitation, when more than 4 GB of physical memory is installed, the actual memory size displayed will be less than 4 GB.
Dual channel memory architecture
Support for DDR3 2133/1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz memory modules
Support for non-ECC memory modules
Support for Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) memory modules

Yes, it will work with 8 GB sticks, at 2133 MHz.

Well since no one seems to want to answer your question I will try to help you. The short answer is YES, they will work just fine.

The MB is listing native JEDEC specifications along with XMP specs. Your CPU "officially" can only support JEDEC, Intel supports both with that CPU with XMP timing and speed setting. Also the spec for the Mc in the CPU is 1.5V+_.5V, it can handle 1.65v that most Intel XMP profiles require to run at rated speed and timing.

Hope this answers your question

Well not really, why? Are you questioning if an i7 2600k can run 2133/11 @1.5V?

An old non inclusive Intel spec list:
2133MHz 1.65 9-11-9-27 4GB 2 Dual LGA 1155 Patriot Core™ i7-2600K DDR3 UDIMM
2133MHz 1.65 9-11-9-27 4GB 2 Dual LGA 1155 Patriot Core™ i7-2600K DDR3 UDIMM
2133MHz 1.65 9-11-9-27 4GB 2 Dual LGA 1155 Patriot Core™ i7-2600K DDR3 UDIMM

Ya the 2600k is speced up for 1.65V and 2133........

If you are going to persistently tell me I am bull shitting this guy then you need to bring something besides your feelings, opinion and view points. Sorry for my bluntness and frank speech on this. His MB does indeed support DDR3 2133 DRAM, his CPU also supports this DRAM.

What is your question to me?
