I have a acer aspire 5734z
windows 7 ultimate
8gb ram
running on
Intel PAWF5 LA-4855P motherboard
Pentium dual core processer t4500 @ 2.30ghz

usually you can't replace a laptop's CPU as they're not a plug-in but are soldered in place. a plug-in socket like on a desktop pc would take up too much space, and would require far too much disassembly for the end user to be worthwhile (for a mass-market product)

That is not true, usually you can replace the laptop CPU just like the desktop, as long as the cpu is not the BGA type. The t4500 is regular mobile cpu. But you are right about when you do it, that will require too much disassembly for the end user.
