I have spare g.skill ripjaws x series ddr3 2400 ram I want to use for a build but new mobo only overclocks at 2133 with ram. I want to underclock this ram to a 1866 frequency anyway. The ram is rated at 1.65 volts. How would I set this up in the bios when it comes to required voltages to run at a frequency of 1866.
Specs...
amd 6300 3.5GHz
Asus m5a97 r2.0
G.skill ripjaws X series ddr3 2400 1.65v

Solution
What 2400 set, should be fairly easy to set up manually, at 1866 - initially try with that freq manaually entered, then set the base timings at 2 less than spec, i.e. if the 2400 sticks have timings of 10-12-12-31 try 8-10-10-29 and DRAM voltage 1.6.....once you list the actual model number can prob give more precise timings to match up to your CPU

The ram set model # is f3-2400c11d-8gxm
I'm going with 1.5 volts at a 1866 frequency with a timing of 8-9-9-24. I got these settings from looking at similar models for 1866. i hope I don't have to adjust any subsettings.
Other possible timings I found for 1866 with 1.5 volts are 9-10-9-28, 9-10-9-27, 10-11-10-30.
