I got the LGA 1150 H18M-E motherboard for an i5 4690K CPU. I have 4gb of DDR3 RAM but it doesn't quite fit properly. Is there any specific brand of memory that I should get that will fit with the mobo or will it all fit? I want to get 8 gb. Many thanks in advance! :)

Clarify what you mean by "doesn't quite fit properly."

You have to make sure the clips on the ends are locked - sometimes this takes a surprising amount of pressure.

And obviously make sure you're putting the RAM in the right way - make sure to line up the notches.

I can't upload pics cause I don't know how. Last time I tried it didn't work. I know for a fact that it wasn't laptop RAM because I used it in my old Dell tower and transferred it over. What I meant was that the teeth (or whatever they are called) didn't line in place. Basically the slots didn't fit cause they weren't at the right measurement. It might be DDR2 RAM actually now that I think about it. Thanks for the response though! I will try to get the exact model of the RAM.

I looked up some pictures on Google and I am pretty sure that it is DDR2 RAM since the PC I had before was an older dual core PC with a compatible motherboard. So that would make sense why it wouldn't fit. Thanks for the answer though! I will get some DDR3 RAM from Amazon in that case.
