Can Noctua NH-D14 Air Cooler Hanldles Extremely Overclocked Components?

Solution
NH-D15, NH-D14, Cryorig R1 Ultimate, Phanteks PH-TC14PE, be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3

Nzxt Kraken x61, Thermaltake Water 3.0 Extreme, Corsair H-110, H-100i GTX, Swiftech H220-X

Phanteks Enthoo series, Fractal Design R5, Corsair 550D, 540 Air.

Use 2x sticks of ram not 4x and aircoolers won't be a problem, use i7-4790k on a decent mobo, and with any of the above coolers you'll have no OC heat issues.

this cooler is huge, if you dont have a full size case or a half decent mid size, youre not gonna have a good time with this cooler, it may block ram slots. cant really help unless you say what case you have etc.

low profile ram worked for me. install ram before install cooler. have not tried standard height ram.

about 1/2" too tall for standard 4u case. noctua advised against trimming cooler down as heat pipes filled with water and cooler won't work without it. 4u cases (horizontal rather than vertical) required spacer under top cover to clear cooler. fits in my fractal design midtower without alterations.

well you only put extreme overclock, whats an extreme overclock to you? if you dont know anything about overclocking then dont mess with things, the noctua is a very good cooler and will keep an overclocked cpu cool, it can run an i7 4790k at around 4.8-5ghz well enough. you havent even stated what cpu you have, so how can you expect any help?.

dont get the 9590 it uses too much power and you wont be able to oc it as it already runs very hot, the noctua nh-d14 would be just enough to run it at decent temps but i doubt you will get any oc at all, dont even get amd (not a fanboy), get an intel i5 4690k and oc that, it will work a treat.

honestly mate, you will save a ton if you shy away from the 9590, it uses 220 watts alone, my i7 uses almost 3 times as less so thats 3 times the savings on electric. intel is better known for gaming as it has better single core performance.
