I am building a gaming pc in April or June and I am planning to buy the Gigabyte gaming 5 mobo but the manufacturers site says that it supports 4k at only 24 fps.So if I buy a r9 380x which is having hdmi 2.0 and then plug my 4k monitor into the graphics card then will I only get 24 fps due to motherboard or will I be getting the max out of my graphics card.

Thanks for your time.

I would use displayport, it is most likely that most of the 4k monitors doesn't have HDMI 2.0 even if your GPU does, unless you are going to get one of the very new ones, but even they won't guarantee to have HDMI 2.0.
