Good morning guys and girls.

First of all I would thank all of you for stopping by and looking at this question of mine.
I don't know if my question is in the right section, I hope so.

Got a quick little question, in the next few days I'll be adding two more sata HDD's to my server which already houses five regular 7200 HDD's and one SSD.

The PSU is an Theremaltake TR2 500w and is rated at +3.3V@22A; +5V@18A; +12V1@18A; +12V2@17A; -12V@0.3A; +5VSB@2.5A.

So my question is, will I have any issues with under powering my system?

System is as fallows:

AMD FX-6300
Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3
Corsair Hydro Series H60 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
Kingston HyperX Blue 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600
1 Samsung 120GB SSD for OS (Ubuntu server 14.04lts)
3 1TB Toshiba HDD's
2 2TB Seagate HDD's
6 120mm fans (2 led's) rest is regular
PSU as stated above Theremaltake TR2 500w at +3.3V@22A; +5V@18A; +12V1@18A; +12V2@17A; -12V@0.3A; +5VSB@2.5A.

With adding those two additional 3TB HDD's I'll also be adding a sata controller card because MB has only 6 sata connections.

Plus I was thinking about getting a splitter to run 4 sata HDD's off one sata power connection, good or bad idea?

So question is will my PSU have enaugh of jucie to power my system?

Thank you all for you replies.

Best regards aCiD.

Thank you Sir for a quick response, I wasn't aware that my PSU is a poor quality one. I have read a lot of reviews before I bought it and I came to a conclusion that it wasn't that bad of a PSU, but it seems I was wrong.

SR-71 Blackbird what do you think about EVGA 100-B1-0600-RX 600 Bronze 600W Power Supply? I'm asking about that PSU because I have a brand new one still in the box laying around, so before I go on a shopping spree and spend money I thought I would check with the pros.

Holy crap, I wasn't aware about that either. Thank you SR-71.

Better get going and get me a quality PSU before anything.

Once again SR-71, thank you for your help.

SR-71 what is your take on using one of these? http://

I want to make the inside look a bit better and I thought I would go with red accent..so all the PSU cables would be hidden in the back and run these red ones nicely in front.

Is it a good idea to use extension cables like that? Or is that a Big No No?
