Hey everyone, I'm new to the technicalities and inner workings of computers. I'm trying to upgrade my current PC, right now my computer is an acer aspire in a mini tower ( will link below ) so I realize I will most likely have to get a new case if I want to upgrade anything inside. I'm having trouble identifying the mother boards specs. I have read the owners manual and all I can find is that it is an AMD A75 I'm not sure if that is all I need for the specs but I am also aware that I need to know if it is a ATX or mini ATX would anyone be able to help me or give me some direction as what I should do next? Thanks :)

AMD A75 is the chipset on that board. It supports the Hudson AMD A and E2 series processors. The board is probably a mini ATX and the name of the manufacturer should be visible on the board. Find out what brand it is and look at the manufacturers website for the specs as to what it will support. Decide what you want to try to upgrade because you may be further ahead looking for a new board or pc instead.

When I open it I can see ACER on it I am assuming it is an acer motherboard, however I can find no specs on it anywhere.

From what I can tell on the website they do not sell motherboards, only full pcs. In the owners manual I found a few codes like AMD A75 Realtek 8111 FA but from what I can tell this is made by several companies, does that matter? It seems like acer tries to hide this info so you cannot upgrade

Look at the specs for the model you have. That should give you an idea of how many slots are open and if they may be PCIex1 x16, or a mini slot. That will let you know what you may be able to add to your system.
