GTX 960 Vs R9 270x dual x vs r9 280 (non x)

Hi Guys i just wanted to know which card is better for Animation (3ds max, maya, mudbox...)
which card is better for these softwares..i also play games like battlefield 4,watch dogs etc at 1080p

All 3 of them are gaming GPUs and not really optimized for workstation graphics.

For gaming, the GTX 960 and R9 280 will be very close to each other. The R9 270x will be a bit behind those 2, but not by much.

I would go with an Nvidia card. A lot of apps out there support CUDA rather than what AMD uses.

I might believe you if you knew WHAT AMD uses. If the apps you use (or want sped up) use CUDA, then go with the 960 or 970. If it uses OpenCL, then get the 285 or 270X if you have two.
