Hey Guys, so I'm new to building PCs and I am getting ready to replace my cases original fans. I was wondering what fans I should get (Preferably red and black) and how I should set up my custom cooling units in the Bitfenix Prodigy M (Where I should Install my static pressure and airflow fans). Any comments are appreciated.

It'd be a good idea to ask yourself why exactly you want to replace your existing fans. Not because you'd be spending all that much money, just because there's really not much reason to do so in this day and age. I remember that once upon a time people used to really boast about the CFM that their case moved, but in today's world there's very little reason to bother. Yes, the internal ambient temperature effects your chip and GPU cooling, but that's a serious rabbit hole that can drive you insane. You can google to find people who pipe air conditioners into their cases or build the whole machine in a vat of cooling fluid.

Anyway the point is that if your fans work and aren't too loud then you don't really need to change. If you want to do it for cosmetic reasons then go for it. Fans are cheap and available in a number of colours. I know for certain that Corsair has some nice black and red ones, but you can find generics or less prominent brands on amazon for a few bucks each.

As for how to best arrange your air flow, front (or front and side) to back is traditional and works just fine, but honestly on a consumer level machine (ie one that has plenty of active cooling on components that need it) you can set up the air flow however you like. I've seen people do top to bottom and bottom to top, as well as back to front. It's all fine. Even just with a few fans you'll be able to pull plenty enough CFM that perfectly aligned airflow isn't all that relevant.

Well, the prodigy only comes with two Bitfenix fans. I have heard that these are not the most powerful fans and they do not match my color scheme. I would like to maximize my pc's overclock and performance in anyway possible. I see what your saying about fans no making much of a difference but I have been getting a very hight cpu temperature and want to make it last.

My specks are:
MSI Gtx 970
Intel Core i5 (Unlocked)
MSI G78M Gaming Motherboard
Intel Stock Cooler (No overclock here)
G. Skill savage ram (2400mh)
Bitfenix Prodigy M
