Hi guys,

Update: After research and get help from folks here, I came up with this final build. Please comment.
I got the parts for about $80-$90 cheaper but after tax it is really close to the total price below.

CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($256.99 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: Silverstone AR06 40.2 CFM CPU Cooler ($39.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Asus H97I-PLUS Mini ITX LGA1150 Motherboard ($101.98 @ NCIX US)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($124.98 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($114.95 @ OutletPC)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($47.89 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 960 2GB Video Card ($209.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Corsair 250D Mini ITX Tower Case ($79.99 @ Micro Center)
Power Supply: SeaSonic G 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($92.99 @ Mac Mall)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro - 64-bit (OEM) (64-bit) ($70.00)
Total: $1139.75

This is gonna be my first PC build. I will mainly use it for programming, heavy web browsing, photo editing, and occasional light gaming (e.g. Steam, League of legends, WoW). Portability is quite important so I decided to go with mini ATX.

Please feel free to comment/suggest on this system as it would help me a lot!

P/S: I already have SSD and storage HDD from my dead laptop so it wont be included here. Also, I am not going to do any over-clocking, hence the H97 motherboard.

Would it help if I turn off the integrated GPU? Or should I do something like this:

If so, what is your recommendation for a good low profile cooler that does not cost too much?
