My asrock H87-Pro4 died after one year of use. Even I sent it to warranty once, but still I am not going to do the same. ASROCK. YOU. SUCK!!!

So, I am getting a new MOBO and as I researched for a day or 2, I noticed that Asus makes the best MOBOs among the 3 (Gigabyte, MSI, ASUS), am i right?

Besides, I am curious which one to go for? H87 or H97? I am not an overclocking guy at all.

My specs:
Intel Xeon E3 1230 V3 @3.3
RAM: Kingston HyperX blue 8GB 1x
PSU: OCZ ZT series 650w
GPU: Inno3D GTX 770 ICHILL Herculez
Storage: 120G Kingston SSD
And currently using my External WD as my secondary

Thanks in Advance!

Well, it's tough to suggest one from so many excellent motherboards so I'd suggest you pick one from the links below that best suites your budget. There are not many H97 mobos right now at Newegg.com.. search results show only 3 left with the filtered characteristics and all three are from 100.00$ to 109.00$, so I included others with the Intel Z97 chipset as there are more of them to choose from, from within the price range you want.

Manufacturer : GIGABYTE & ASUS
Chipset: Intel H97
CPU Socket Type : LGA 1150
Condition : New
Form Factor : ATX
Customer Ratings : 5/5 eggs 4/5 eggs
Price : $100 - $200 USD...

H97 will be compatible with newer CPU's from Intel. Also, it is the newest chipset, so it will see support for longer, and the price is pretty much the same, so I'd go with H97.

Don't discount AsRock as a bad brand, though. They still make good products, and they are often cheaper than similar competing products. Every brand will have manufacturing defects every once in a while, no matter who they are.

I say this because the H97 board I recommend the most is the AsRock H97M Pro 4. If you do not want to go with AsRock, Asus is definitely a good brand and one I trust, but their options will almost always be more expensive. I would also look at Gigabyte and MSI, but I would read more reviews for their motherboards.

Being mainly an ASRock user for the past few years, I cant agree with your assesment that ASRock "sucks".

You did not list one of your most important components - the power supply. What is your PSU? There is a good chance that the motherboard died for a reason.

You know how bad it feels when we our mobo or any other pc part dies. Probably you are right. It's all electronics so something must have happened to it.

As for the "read more" part, I would rely mostly on customer reviews as websites are somehow oriented i guess. That's why I asked there issue right here.

I could also blame my PSU, as it was a Chinese brand. I live in China so it came with my PC without I knowing it. LOL, I have already changed it to an OCZ ZT 650W Bronze.
